Who We Are?
The Jersey Tourist Guides Association (JTGA) was established in 1995 to represent the interests of those involved in guided tourism in Jersey and to provide information to the trade and anyone interested in learning more about our island.
The JTGA aims to maintain professional standards and attitudes, to establish closer links and communication with the travel industry. The membership of the JTGA consists of Blue Badge Guides, Bronze Award holders and specialists in certain fields.
While the JTGA promotes employment of professional guides within the island, its members are self-employed independent traders who negotiate their own fees and terms of trade.
The Association is an associate member of the British Guild of Registered Tourist Guides in London which provides liability insurance for Blue Badge Guides. Many of Jersey’s Blue Badge Guides are also members of the Institute of Tourist Guiding.
